Ashok Kumar Gupta is a seasoned professional with a rich and diverse background in international business management. He holds a degree in B.A. (Hons), Japanese Language and Culture, from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, which laid the foundation for his illustrious career.

Ashok embarked on his professional journey as an HR/Sales Manager at Softbridge Solutions Japan Co. Ltd from December 2005 to February 2008. He served as the pivotal link between engineers and company management, coordinating various essential functions. His role encompassed arranging arrivals of engineers in Japan, processing their visas and dependents’, translating engineer resumes, facilitating introductions to clients, conducting orientations, and providing continual support during project assignments. Additionally, Ashok actively managed bilingual engineer hiring and relieving processes, editing and issuing the company’s monthly newsletter, honing cross-cultural management skills, and gaining a robust understanding of multinational work dynamics.

Subsequently, Ashok expanded his horizons and ventured into various corporate roles that enriched his managerial expertise. He continued his journey by serving as an Assistant General Manager at Elematec Trading India Pvt Ltd from 2011 to 2013, gaining valuable insights into strategic management and business operations.

Further enhancing his managerial skills, Ashok pursued General Management Studies at the esteemed Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow in 2012, equipping himself with a deeper understanding of global business dynamics.

From 2014 to 2019, Ashok held pivotal roles at SIGMA Corporation, Japan, where he served as the General Manager of the Overseas Business Division and concurrently acted as a Director at SIGMA Forging & Forming Private Limited, Chennai. His contributions were instrumental in the expansion and success of the company’s international ventures.

In addition to his corporate achievements, Ashok showcased his entrepreneurial acumen by establishing and overseeing an Indian restaurant chain in Japan since 2016. His multifaceted career journey reflects his strong leadership, strategic vision, and a proven track record of achieving significant milestones across diverse industries.
